falling leaves sing
under the foot of passengers
mild sun rays are crossing the skin of the face
i hear the notes of a faraway land
echoing inside of me
i sense the touch
of a faraway hand
is this me
am i the one
who's shoes were torn apart so many times
from running
running away
is this me
am i the one
who's left asleep in a dream of another being

i've been thinking all day long about pride and love, and how these two go together. what makes the pride so attractive when mostly it trips us up?!
isnt the pride that part of our mind that tells us we are better than, greater than, more important than, more deserving than, or more qualified than, anyone else. an arrogance that deceives us and tries to make us believe that we don’t need others, as long we have ourselves. pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.
true love on the other hand is not proud. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres and has no limits. it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things.
true love repairs and rebuilds.
with the power of that love, you'll able to fly again and i put all my faith in you.
even when we fall, we are born to fly... *_*
now you've reminded me of these:
The First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians
XIII
[1] IF I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
[2] And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
[3] And if I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to *1* be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
[4] Love suffereth long, and is king; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
[5] doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;
[6] rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;
[7] beareth *2* all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
[8] Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall be done away; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away.
[9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
[10] but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.
[11] When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things.
[12] For now we see in a mirror, darkly; *3* but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.
[13] But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest *4* of these is love.

Korinćanima poslanica prva svetoga apostola Pavla.
Glava XIII.
1. Ako jezike čovječije i anđelske govorim a ljubavi nemam, onda sam kao zvono koje zvoni, ili praporac koji zveči.
2. I ako imam proroštvo i znam sve tajne i sva znanja, i ako imam svu vjeru da i gore premještam, a ljubavi nemam, ništa sam.
3. I ako razdam sve imanje svoje, i ako predam tijelo svoje da se sažeže, a ljubavi nemam, ništa mi ne pomaže.
7. Sve snosi, sve vjeruje, svemu se vada, sve trpi.
8. Ljubav nikad ne prestaje, a proroštvo ako će i prestati, jezici ako će umuknuti, razuma ako će nestati.
9. Jer nešto znamo, i nešto prorokujemo;
13. A sad ostaje vjera, nada, ljubav, ovo groje; ali je ljubav najveća među njima.
